Shaped by Many
A space where rhythm, culture, and community come together—patterns, perspectives, and materials shaping interiors that foster connection, spark creativity, and reflect shared stories through collective expression.
Rhythm, Culture, and Collective Creativity
Momentum explores the “liquid architecture” of hip hop in its collaboration with Michael Ford—architect, educator, and founder of Hip Hop By Design™. Inspired by Ford’s work with young people across the country and the creative practice within his own home studio, the collection draws from lyrical cadence, sampling, typography, movement, and creative exchange. Through layered textures, dimensional forms, and bold materiality, the collection translates music, culture, and creative energy into textiles and wallcoverings for commercial interiors.
Guided by Ford’s philosophy of “Design for the Collective Good,” the collection balances expressive artistry with lasting performance through refined materiality and immersive visual rhythm. Inspired by the ethos of hip hop, the patterns foster creativity, belonging, and shared experience within the built environment.
Like hip hop itself, the collection reflects a layered approach to design—many voices, influences, and creative expressions moving through space together.

Upholstery
Michael Ford’s upholstery collection carries the rhythm, motion, and spirit of hip hop into tactile woven form.
Inspired by lyrical analysis, collaborative exchange, sampling, typography, and cultural storytelling, the three expressive jacquard textiles—Dance Off (gesture-inspired bouclé linework), Cypher (geometric chenille constructions encoding fragments of I AM HIP HOP), and Bronx Composition (groove-inspired linear abstraction)—bring layered texture and creative energy into commercial spaces.

Wallcoverings
Bold and architectural in scale, Michael Ford’s two wallcovering patterns transform movement and musical cadence into layered works of art.
Breakin’ features mural-scale looping linework inspired by breakdancing and sketches by Ford’s son Mason, while Flow Chart transforms lyrical analysis and rhythmic bar graphics into layered geometric compositions inspired by sound, structure, and spatial rhythm. Printed on bio-attributed Circon® wallcovering, both patterns merge bold visual storytelling with forward-thinking material innovation.
